Hi everyone - I've been very mia lately - what can I say - it's summer!

I told Lenetta I would come up with some July dates and post them, but it turns out I'll be moving soon, so we're in the midst of packing and other fun miscelaneous things associated with moving, like renovating a house, you know, little things.

I would be happy to host at the end of August, or September if Kearney wanted to take July/August? I'll throw out August 25th in the pm or Sept. 5th in the am as starting discussion for Grand Island (though I really have no idea what might be going on then) and maybe we'll do newsletter folding then

Congrats on the move! I was just telling Jim the other day that we need to move so we can get rid of a bunch of junk. :>) Yes, *that's* my best motivation to de-clutter! Too bad we're not going anywhere for a long time . . .

Anyway, I don't feel super-compelled to have a meeting but perhaps I'm just lazy like that. I never did come up with an agenda for Patty for our last meeting!

For what it's worth, Sept 5 is the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Not that it matters to me - we'll be silage cutting, so we never go anywhere. But others might . . .

I would like to see us actually accomplish some outward motion of "midwifery evangelism" before the summer is over. Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel like I have influenced anyone toward midwifery lately.

Are there any events going on that we would fit in? Not like a parade float, mind you , more like a Health Fair or Baby Bee... in the air conditioning... or at least the shade. Should we attept a booth at a couple of county fairs?

Anyone? Anywhere?

OK, looks like we need to get Lenetta on this to track people down! Since the 25th is rapidly approaching, I'm going to suggest moving to September and put out 2 new dates for you to vote on... the 8th in the evening or the 12th in the morning, here in Grand Island.

In theory, either one will work. But one of these days, I'm going to have to get serious about potty training and that will limit our travel, I'm sure.

Let's go with the 8th - sounds easy for anyone who actually has things going on other days We'll meet at my house which is right by Pier Park on the east side of town. More on that later.

I'd guess we'd get there no earlier than 5. With my propensity to be late combined with Jalen's tendency to not nap at all on days that I really want her to do so, I think those things will cancel each other out and it'll still be around 5. :>) Can't wait to see your new house! Are we going to do a potluck supper? I'm guessing your girls eat later than Jalen does, Camilla. :>)

5:00 sounds great and a Potluck sounds good to me (it's what i was thinking).

My address is 103 W. Ashton Ave. If you're coming from the interstate take the middle Grand Island Exit - South Locust and go north to Anna/Bismark - there is a light at this intersection. Turn right (east) and go one block to Pine then turn north. We're diaganol from the park at the corner of Pine and Ashton - the white house on the south-west corner.

Note that there are TWO 103 Ashtons at the corner of Ashton and Pine, make sure you go to the house across from the park, not on the same side as the park

Just in case someone didn't see via other methods, the meeting was rescheduled to Tuesday the 22nd at 5 PM, still at Camilla's. You might give a shout out if you plant to attend - so far we've not heard from anyone who is planning to be there.
