hi just have a question. it's not really about me just something that has been on my mind and i figure you ladies may be able to enlighten me. when it comes to vbac, some doctors claim they "just don't do vbacs" or their respective hospital doesn't. is this really even possible? do they actually have the right to turn you away if you refuse surgery? that's something that they can't force upon you right? what about if you come in very close to delivery, they can't obviously tie you down or force you to be cut open so what is standard procedure in that scenerio? just wondering. thanks _________________ family woman |

Whoof, I'm not exactly sure. I know I've read an article about a woman who sued her doc for c-sectioning her, although I don't know how it turned out. Where a doc believes the mother may be putting the baby in danger by refusing a c/s . . . I could just see a horror story unfolding where they get a judge to sign papers removing parental rights or some such. Freaks me out just thinking about it, but I don't know how true it actually is. _________________ Lenetta, past vice-chair
